Winter in Brisbane isn't exactly New York worthy so finding inspiration for dressing for the colder months is hard when the majority of bloggers I follow go through in minus temperature winters. 

But FINALLY I have found a blogger to stalk for all my winter needs! 

Even though Frida lives in Europe where it evidently snows like a boss, she dresses for the colder months with such style and practicality. Shorts and sheer tights, layers, flowy skirts and knits I'm in LOVE. So much inspiration its making me seriously crave winter more and more.

So I don't know if i mentioned that I'M GETTING MARRIED!

My gorgeous Fiance proposed on the 23rd of december (his birthday...sneaky boy!) and we will be married EXACTLY 7 months later on the 23rd of July.

I honestly don't think I've ever been so excited in my life!

So since December I've gotten my wedding dress, bridesmaids dress and shoes, reception venue, table centerpieces and bouquet design, and its only January 18th. I AM SO PRO!

So here's a little sneak peak into my inspiration :)

So you my have noticed my change in attitude in the last few posts and this is because I'm really trying to change a lot of things in my life.

I've always been very Earthly conscious and had a passion for animal welfare but I have recently read a lot of articles on veganism and have felt its time to do more.

So my dearest ponies, today you are looking at a newly reformed "Vegan-ista!" (that's vegan fashionista for those scratching their heads...)

This means NO fur, and NO leather.

Millions of women everyday slip on their shiny leather boots and fluffy fur jackets without even knowing what went behind the scenes in order to make them. Manufacturers are constantly taking the easy AND cheaper options of sourcing their materials without even a thought of the devastating cruelty that goes on all in the name of fashion.

Now because I have an outlet, such as my blog, to be able to reach a good amount of people across the world, I feel its my duty to share this new lifestyle with you and encourage you to join me!

Ways of doing even more for the environment as well is going to thrift stores and vintage stores for the majority of your clothes and bag shopping. If your not into that then there are some great online shops that celebrate eco friendly and fair trade clothing. www.peopletree.co.uk is incredible. check it.

And now for the food side of being a Vegan-ista. One thing I actually cant live without is cheese and milk, and I think that's okay- It's all in the brands and what they stand for!

I've never really been a meat eater - because aesthetically steak was never too pleasing (and then there's slimy chicken...ehh) - but since hearing and reading about the sick and disturbing ways cows, lambs and chickens are being farmed for our consumption, I'm even more disgusted.

BUT. If your like me and cheese (slightly inseparable...) then there are ways you can keep meat (and dairy) in your diet CRUELTY FREE(yipee!)

Two words: FREE RANGE.

Next time you want to buy cheese/milk/eggs/ham/bacon/beef/chicken/fish try to find a brand that makes an effort to advertise the fact that they are cruelty free. Think of it as a natural ego boost. You are helping turn our planet into a cruelty free world just by changing the products you buy.

So If you are reading these words right here I personally want to thank you for taking the time to read this far into this post, because I know a lot of people will turn a blind eye. So thanks :)

It's Uni time again. And this time I don't even have a friend to suffer silently whilst trauling through Facebook during lectures with me. Bleh.

I've been really unmotivated lately blogging and Fashion wise with my outfits consisting of jeans, singlets and massively oversized jumpers/ cardigans. Nothing I put on seems to look right and its KILLING ME. So I go for the easy mum-ish dressing instead which only makes me feel frumpy and unattractive.

BUT today I was stuck at Chermside after Uni and moped into Rubi shoes and found these babies. I've been looking for a pair for a long time but couldn't afford the Sportsgirl/ Jefferey Campbell ones because I am a poor unfortunate being. tear. But these were delicious enough to win me over plus lift my spirits enough to make me buy a white cotton head scarf as well.
This spring I'm all about the 70's festival dressing, so expect hippie head scarves cropped tees and singlet and cut offs galore.

The Outsiders.

It was grade 10, 2007, in English class when i first fell in love with these boys.

I love how on the outside these boys look tough and rancid but once you read further into the book you start to see their relationships and how affectionate you are towards each other. Not to mention their ridiculous good looks and dress sense.

OH and then there's prepubescent Tom Cruize and Rob Lowe...:)

So once again Bestie and i skipped Uni and decided to go Park hopping instead.

On our adventure we came across this incredible creek (Known as Cedar Creek for all you brisban-ites) and we were soooo blown away by its beauty! I tried taking pictures of it but trust me, not a photo in the world could so it's justice.

While we were there we found this strange rock that dead set had a face. Seriously. It was so creepy and interesting as well.

We then ventured to a place called Bullocky's rest or Lake Samsonvale. SO. STUNNING. and once again even the pictures can't show you guys the beauty of it.

It's kind of like those times you wish your eyes were a camera and you could just blink and a picture of the beautiful sight in front of you would appear, cause cameras just don't see what eyes mixed with imagination can.

I'll be honest here. I'm a bit of a fashion-woose. I mean I'll post stunning images of particular styles or photographs that inspire me but I think I'm pretty safe when it comes to fashion, which in the blogging world, is a bit of a shame.

Ever since fellow Aussie Isabel Lucas embraced the re-growth look a few years back I've been DYING to do something similiar. But of course, I'm boring, and tend to let things get too "on trend" before I give it a try, then get frustrated because EVERYONE is already doing it, so the excitement fades and I become boring again.

So in an attempt to become more spontaneous, I'm thinking of giving this look a bit of a try...

Of course I would do it myself because hairdressers these days want more money out of me than petrol stations and Mcdonalds so there runs a risk of complete epic failure.

I'm talking about possible orange tinges, total ruin-age of my ends forcing a cut which will scar me for life, and for people to just think I'm lazy and derro.

I have come to the conclusion that I am a TERRIBLE saver. Normally I'm pretty good with my spending, but since I've now been living 2 seconds away from one of Brisbane's biggest shopping centers, I've developed this sort of chronic addiction for all things shiny and new.
I've also realised that shopping in general is kind of a relaxant for me. If I'm stressed, bored, upset, exhausted WHATEVER! It actually does make a difference... This shirt is one of my middle of the week "I'm stressed-hate life" purchases and it DEFINITELY made my Friday MUCH easier to get through :)

Being a poor uni student Layby has become my new bestie. So finally today, after many weeks of scraping together every last penny i was finally united with my love, meet Blaze the blazer :)

Unfortunately it's impossible to capture the beauty of these windows. This house is from around the 1950's or 60's so I can just imagine what kind of shenanigans went on in this room, especially seeing as these windows open up to the top of the old car shades roof and the jump down is nothing. Im guessing a lot of sneakys were pulled from the previous teenage occupants, I like their style :)

These photos were from a while ago, like before november last year. OR even in november. I just havent had the time to take pictures so i thought I'd post these because 1. I cant remember whether i have or not and 2. I like this dress and my hair is looking long.

So since these pictures I've cut my hair, graduated school, gotten my license, moved out of home, and enrolled for University to study fashion. And now that I'll have more time you'll be hearing from me alot more. Since my boyfie is gone for two weeks to Victoria to build sheds for the fire victims and has left me here alone for my holidays (Insert sad smiley face), i decided to make a list of things i would achieve during his absence.

So i was at work today and i got shoved on tressles (the annoying and humiliating table in the middle of the walk way, totally exposed for the world to stare at and judge) for 2 hours and almost drove myself mad. To try pass time i walked back and forth across the length of the table counting my steps, lets just say three THOUSAND ( + or -) steps in 2 hours is a record...for me.

But anyway as i was counting my steps a lovely old lady with a walkey thing came up to me and started going on about how i should have a chair or a stool to sit on and that all this standing is going to make my back go retarted and we chatted for a bit, then when she went to leave she asked me if i wanted anything to eat or drink! I wish more people were like her :)

I was having a conversation with somebody the other day and i mentioned a particular actor that i love and they basically chuckled at my liking towards them and told me that he wasn't 'cool' to like anymore...

chyeah, so this post is basically about me being PROUD of my 'Un-coolness' and i would like to point out WHY i am so 'Un-cool' :)

1) I happen to LOVE the old Mary-kate & Ashley movies to the point that i am known at the local Network Video for it...

2) I think Zac Efron, Rob Patterson, and Orlando Bloom are INCREDIBLY goodlooking and i would HAPPILY go see one of there movies, multiple times.

3) I am the biggest home body you will ever meet. And i mean EVER. Theres nothing better than my bed and a cup of Jarrah hot chocolate :)

4) I like to stalk people on FaceBook. And I'm one of the few that DON'T pretend they don't read everything on the feed section (Come on guys, it's RIGHT in front of you, as if you don't)

5) I'm REALLY excited for the Hannah Montannah movie to come out this thursday, don't as me why...

6) The High school Musical Series are apart of my favourite movies list. Near the top...

7) I ADORE crime shows. They just intrege me i LOVE them! Especially Bones.

8) I have a memory box half the size of me full of everything special guitar pics to a marble somebody gave me to naughty in class notes.

So what i'm trying to say is that pretty much being uncool if my favourite thing to do. Personally i don't think that paricular TV shows, words, bands, actors/actresses etc define whether you are 'cool' or not. Actually, I don't think there is even such a thing as BEING uncool, because everyone is their own self, who do their own thing that they love.

So to end i want everyone reading this to post one UNCOOL thing they do, and why they think its the most COOLEST thing on earth.
